Today we’re celebrating with some wonderful Scottish dance tunes — a perfect way to sit back, relax, and enjoy the rich tradition of music and dance that inspires us all. 💙✨
Here’s a selection recorded live at our Centenary Concert on Friday 1 November 2024 in Canongate Kirk:
🎵 The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (Bill Clement) – the original tune for the dance Bill Clement MBE.
🎵 Florence Lesslie’s Farewell to Edinburgh by Andrew Bathgate – dedicated to Florence, one of our founding members.
🎵 Coatbridge composed by Susan Inglis – commemorating Miss Allie Anderson, with the original tune for the dance.
🎵 Dunnottar Castle – the original tune for The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, a dance devised by our founders Miss Allie Anderson and Florence D. Lesslie.
