Work continues on my 1985 Porsche 924 NA Restoration project.
In this episode I'm finally done with front axle, restoring and rebuilding my front suspension and brakes. I clean, sandblast, mask, rust convert where needed and paint most of the parts. One coat of epoxy primer, followed by 3 coats of filler primer. Then I wet sand few parts with 600 and 800 grit sandpaper. Some of them are too pitted from rust and can't be smoothed out with wet sanding. Then 3 coats of base color and finally 3 coats of clear.
Zinc gold electroplating few more parts and using cold blue method to treat unpainted parts. Parts that are missing or worn out are replaced with brand new ones.
I won't be returning these nice looking parts to the car until I take care of car's body and paint.
