STORYLINE
Supporters of World Cup minnows Trinidad and Tobago had good reason to celebrate after they fought Sweden to a courageous 0-0 draw in Dortmund on Saturday evening.
The team that were viewed as World Cup 2006 outsiders may be taking centre stage now with a chance to move out of the group and into the knockout round if they get one more positive result.
For supporters of Trinidad and Tobago - the self-styled Soca Warriors - it was a night of jubilation after the Caribbean side held out despite playing the entire second half with only 10 men.
One delighted fan said of Trinidad & Tobago's World Cup debut: "They thought we were a pushover, but we ain't no pushover. We played them very well. They played good and we played good."
And for the "T&T" supporters who thought that their German holiday would only last through the group stage, there is now optimism that they may have to extend their stay.
One fan predicted: "Well, we're in with a chance. England will probably qualify top of the group. But any of the other teams can make it. Trinidad have never lost to Paraguay, so there's no reason we can't win."
For Sweden supporters, it was a disappointing start to the tournament.
However, there was enough to give the blue and gold supporters hope that things would get better, starting with their next match, against Paraguay in Berlin.
A Sweden fan said: "We will come back later on, I am convinced of that."
