Flotsam is a survival-city-builder from indie studio Pajama Llama Games (published by Stray Fawn Publishing), where you and a group of survivors — “drifters” — must build a floating town out of ocean trash, salvage, and driftwood in a flooded, post-apocalyptic sea world.

In Flotsam, you’re juggling a few key systems — survival, resource management, exploration, and town-building. The loop roughly goes: scavenge → build → survive/manage → explore/rescue → upgrade & expand → repeat, with increasing complexity as your town grows, new biomes unlock, and resources become scarce or polluted.

Flotsam stands out by turning post-apocalypse + environmental collapse into a hopeful, creative sandbox: instead of doom, you salvage trash to build life. That idea — building a floating town from ocean garbage — is rare and evocative. The game’s aesthetic and tone lean more hopeful and inventive than bleak, which gives it distinctive personality.
