Super Smash Bros. Melee - Break the Targets Remix

Thank you for watching! If there's one theme to hear on repeat while trying to shave fractions of a second off your time in Break the Targets - or while trying to smack Sandbag just a bit further in Home Run Contest - this is the one! This song feels like it was way ahead of its time since its debut over 20 years ago, and I'd even go so far as to say it's one of the top songs in the entire Smash Bros. franchise. I hope you'll enjoy this eclectic take on it!

In this remix, I wanted to retain the euphoric, high-energy, Dance-style feeling of the original while introducing some new and unexpected elements. A big focus here was to include more dynamic transitions and (especially) drum fills, which are two production aspects that I'm really hoping to become more proficient with. With that said, I am very happy with how this piece came out, and it was a delight to work on! ^_^

I also want to take this opportunity to (heartily!) recommend the music of my friend and fellow VGM remixer, ‪@FlameCheese‬ ! FlameCheese specializes in Chiptune and 8-bit remixes, so if you enjoyed the middle segment here, you'll no doubt be impressed by his adept usage of retro sounds.
