This video feels almost ironic in the wake of the Roe vs Wade decision. How funny to wait until right after Father's day to condemn women to death in pursuit of fatherhood. That's why my shorts have been a bit sporatic. As a woman who has lost multiple pregnancies late and has needed medical intervention to stay alive this change is difficult to bear. I always hoped as did my husband we would be able to try for a girl once we got our family back together under one roof in the middle of a housing crisis where we live. Now that choice has been taken from us due to the very real possibility of my death if I were to get pregnant. Some people would have you believe women are not in danger due to this decision. In my personal experience those people are so wrong. And making others understand feels impossible without wishing the pain I have endured upon them which I would never do.
So in this video you will find Koko wrapping Father's Day presents for the father of her children. Josh may not be Jacob's biological father but he is the man who taught Jacob what a "Dad" is. And whom Jacob calls Dad.
