Ghost shrimp (also known as sand shrimp) are really excellent fish bait so we catch them with a shrimp pump. They're found in Washington, Oregon, and California. So many fish love ghost shrimp--salmon, sturgeon, surfperch, striped bass, etc. Pumping ghost shrimp is super fun and easy. It's really cool to see how pumping a single hole sucks the water from dozens of connected holes/tunnels. I'll show you what we look for in terms of habitat and hole-type, what it looks like when you pump a burrow, and how to use a shrimp pump to collect fresh bait.
