We've visited Big Sur many times in the past but it's always just been a quick trip with no hiking in mind. This time around we decided to explore Edwoldsen Trail in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Come along with us as we hike this beautiful trail which is located in the heart of Big Sur, California! This trail is usually a loop but since part of the trails is getting maintenance we had to do an out and back, its certainly the most scenic route of the trail which we had to privilege to see. This moderately challenging trail takes you through ancient redwood forests, green lush canyons and takes you up to breathtaking coastal views. This hike is about 5.5 miles round trip with an elevation gain of approximately 1,600ft, so make sure you're prepared with enough water, snacks and a camera to catch the beautiful views. Along the way, I will show you the big Redwood trees, chattering creeks and glimpses of the Pacific Ocean. This was truly a beautiful trail, so if you like a mix of forest vibes and coastal scenery add this trail to your list.
Things to Know:
