EU Institutions, agencies and Member States work together to tackle organised and serious international crime through a platform called EMPACT (European Multidisciplinary Cooperation Platform Against Criminal Threats).
In 2019, they pooled forces to protect citizens from international organised crime and make Europe safer and these are some of the results achieved.
The EU Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) plays a crucial role in supporting cooperation between Member States' law enforcement authorities and contributes to identifying and addressing the training needs within each common security threat.
