Is this America's Most Underrated Trout Fishing Destination? (Fly Fishing South Dakota)

In this video I go fly fishing for trout in South Dakota's Black Hills. This is one of the most underrated fishing locations I've ever been to and is a true hidden gem!!

South Dakota wasn't even on my list of places to visit to trout fish, but when I decided to make a road trip across the country to Wyoming for the cutthroat slam I decided to stop through for a few days and check it out. I went and visited Mount Rushmore on day 1, which was pretty cool. But after being a tourist for a few hours I decided to try and fishing a local creek... and let me tell you the fishing was world class. I'm not sure why more people don't come fish this awesome fishing destination!

So the first day I spent in South Dakota I was honestly just being more of a tourist. I obviously went fishing, but I probably only fished for 2 hours before I quit because of the rain. The next day however I focused solely on fishing, which is when I fished a spring creek that was one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen. This creek alone I could argue would make South Dakota worth a trip, but it’s not the only creek in the area. Having said that there were so many brown trout visibly feeding, even off the side of the road, that I felt like I was in a dream where I had landed in fishing paradise. This is just one of those magical creeks that make you never want to leave.
