Find a way / Surf Torquay Cinematic / Fujifilm XT3 / Lifestyle

Bonjour à tous :)
Actuellement dans l'état du Victoria en Australie, j'ai réalisé mon premier short film dans la ville emblématique de Torquay (ville mondialement connue dans le domaine du surf).

C'était une grande première pour ma part de filmer dans l'univers du sport. Depuis l'aqcuisition de mon équipement vidéo (Fuji Xt3) j'avais pour habitude de filmer des forêts, animaux, paysages, artistes de rue … J'étais à des années lumière de pouvoir penser qu'un jour, j'allais pouvoir réaliser des projets dans ce genre de domaine.

Depuis petit je suis un grand fan de sport et plus particulièrement, de sports extrêmes.
Quand j'ai appris que Bauti, mon ami Argentin avait pour habitude de surfer dans son pays natal, se fut une évidence pour moi. C'est avec plaisir qu'il accepta ce projet vidéo.
Découvrir ce sport avec mon ami Bauti fût incroyable. Cette aventure, ce lifestyle, cette culture et cette ambiance magique m'ont donné un nouveau regard sur cet univers.
J'ai appris que surfer est bien plus qu'un sport, c'est une philosophie de vie, une métaphore du quotidien. Cela nous apprend à garder notre équilibre, à tomber et à se relever, à prendre des coups mais ne jamais abandonner.

Nous étions dépendant des conditions météorologiques. J'ai tourné cette vidéo en Novembre 2020. La saison des grosses vagues débute mi février, et la fameuse compétition Ripcurl Pro débute mi mars.

Nous avons partagé cette aventure avec des personnes exceptionnelles. Surfer, prendre soin de son corps et de son esprit, partager cette passion avec ses amis, ses proches, et au final c'est ça le bonheur.

Je remercie toute les personnes qui m'ont accompagné dans ce beau projet.

Ce n'est que le début d'un nouveau format.

Bautista Botta : I come from Argentina and travel to Australia to enjoy the surf. In happiness with my friends, we go surfing and learn how to surf better. This surf trip was a body combat and a mental health, I need it to feel good. I find a way in surfing when I arrived to Torquay, in south of the Victoria state in Australia. I learnt to never give up and just take the ocean vibes. Cédric Luciani, filmmaker since few months make me this beautiful remember in vacation to this beautiful city of surf. With his fujufilm xt3, his Drone dji Mavic pro, he realized this cinematic video. He entered with me in a real healthy lifestyle. My sport life is all for me and give me a good balance. When I take the waves in front of this beauty aussie, I feel a big energy. Going on this beach, Bells Beach is a lot of symbol. This place welcome the rip curl pro surfing contest. Enjoying amazing sunset and sunrise make me feel close to the ocean and all the ocean vibes. Surf lifestyle is also to get good friends to share with. When I broke my surfboard during the filming of this short film, I need them advices. It's an extreme sport, a lifestyle, a philosophy of life.

Currently in the state of Victoria in Australia, I made my first short film in the emblematic city of Torquay (world famous city of surfing).

It was a great first time to me to film in the sport's world. Since the acquisition of my video equipment (Fuji Xt3) I used to film forests, animals, landscapes, street artists… I was light years away from being able to think that one day I would be able to make that kind of topics.

Since I was little I have been a big fan of sports, especially extreme sports.
When I learned that Bauti, my Argentinian friend used to surf in his native country, it was obvious to me. He accepted with pleasure this video project.
Discovering this sport with my friend Bauti was incredible. This adventure, this lifestyle, this culture and this magical atmosphere gave me a new perspective on this theme.
I learned that surfing is much more than a sport, it is a philosophy of life, a metaphor of each day. It teaches us to keep our balance, to fall and get up, to take hits but never give up.
We were dependent on the weather conditions. I shot this video in November 2020. The big wave season begins mid February, and the famous Ripcurl Pro competition begins mid March.

We have shared this adventure with exceptional people. Surfing, taking care of your body and mind, sharing this passion with friends and family, in the end that's happiness.

I thank all the people who accompanied me in this beautiful project.

This is just the start of a new format.
