The old city of Jerusalem-Israel

A walk thru one of the shopping streets in the old city of Jerusalem. Parts of it is called Via Dolorosa, which means the way of grief/suffering. This is the path Jesus Christ took to Calvary, where he died for all our sins (God judged him), was buried (taking those sins out of God's sight) and rose again the third day (as a proof that the sin issue was a done deal). Salvation is a free gift, by grace thru faith-no works required or desired. The issue today is righteousness: being justified by Jesus Christ's righteousness. That's how we're saved today ;)

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

2 Corinthians 5:18-21
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he [God the Father] hath made him [Jesus Christ: God's only begotten Son, God in the flesh] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Timothy 2:3-7
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for ALL, to be testified in due time.

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Colossians 2:13-14 KJV
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
