You will need a 17mm Spanner and a wide, thin flat head screwdriver. Remove the black whip from the regulator but ensuring the chrome hexagonal body of the regulator stays attached to the regulator and not to the swivel joint of the black hose. Then unscrew the front regulator cover, you may have a more modern regulator with a silver ring around a black face plate. Pull out the rubber diaphragm to expose the silver demand lever inside the reg. Whilst watching the lever, put the screwdriver inside the hole where the hose would normally attach and turn it clockwise until the demand lever moves downwards very slightly, this will allow it to have more distance between the lever and the diaphragm when under pressure, stopping it from opening prematurely.
