Is the Carnivore Diet Really Too Extreme?
When Cleveland’s new temporary starting quarterback Shadur Sanders looked into the camera and said, “I’m what you’ve been looking for,” a lot of people thought that confidence was extreme. The same thing happens when people hear about the #CarnivoreDiet for the first time—“No plants? Mostly meat? That sounds crazy.” In this video, I’ll show you why, as a board-certified obesity and family medicine doctor, I don’t see carnivore as extreme at all. I see the standard way we manage chronic disease as extreme, and I’ll walk you through what I actually see in my clinic with real patients, real symptoms, and real lab results. #MetabolicHealth
We’ll talk about how a well-formulated #Carnivore or carnivore-ish approach can radically improve issues like type 2 diabetes, stubborn obesity, joint pain, fatigue, and gut problems by targeting the root cause: hyperinsulinemia, inflammation, and ultra-processed food addiction. I’ll explain, in plain English, how removing sugar and processed carbs calms insulin, how animal foods support satiety and hormone balance, and why so many patients report better digestion, fewer cravings, and more stable moods. You’ll hear composite stories from my clinic about people who tried everything—low-fat, calorie counting, “healthy whole grains”—and only started healing when they switched to a meat-based, low-carb lifestyle. #WeightLoss #InsulinResistance
Of course, we’ll also address the big fears: kidney damage, cholesterol, constipation, and nutrient deficiencies. I’ll share how I actually monitor labs on my #CarnivoreDiet patients, what happens to triglycerides, HDL, blood pressure, and inflammation markers, and why LDL changes have to be interpreted in context—not in isolation. We’ll discuss who tends to benefit the most from carnivore (severe metabolic syndrome, food addiction, autoimmune or IBS sufferers) and who needs more caution and individualized guidance. This is not a meat cult; it’s a powerful clinical tool in a larger metabolic health toolbox. #ChronicDisease #LowCarb
If you’ve ever been told carnivore is “too extreme,” this video will give you a new lens: maybe the extreme thing is staying sick on a long list of medications while your quality of life slowly declines. By the end, you’ll walk away with clear talking points you can share with friends, family, and even your doctor about why a #MeatBased approach might be exactly what your body has been looking for. If you find this helpful, please hit like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs hope. Then check the description and the playlist for more videos on #Keto, #Carnivore, and #MetabolicHealth so together we can protect your NEST and move from disease management to true healing. #DoctorReact #FoodAsMedicine
