We Were NOT Prepared for the Amazon (Nettle Whipping & Killer Snakes)

Okay, deep breaths. We just got back from 3 days deep in the Amazon rainforest, and calling it 'wild' is an absolute understatement. We thought we were ready... let's just say we were NOT Prepared! 😂

Join us, Justin & Jess, on what turned out to be one of the most challenging AND incredible adventures of our lives. From a nightmare 20-hour bus journey (thanks, landslide!) just to GET there, to wading through waist-deep mud, and accidentally volunteering to get whipped by a shaman, the Amazon definitely tested us from the start.

BUT... amidst the chaos, we experienced pure magic:
✨ Searching for (and FINALLY finding!) the elusive Pink River Dolphin.
🐒 Encountering incredible wildlife like monkeys, caimans, and the adorable capybara, Pepa!
🌿 Visiting an indigenous Amazonian tribe and learning from their village Shaman about ancient traditions and plant medicine...
💥 Which led to Justin volunteering for a traditional healing session involving Nettle Whipping (Spoiler: it left MARKS!).
🍫 Learning to make authentic Amazonian chocolate from scratch.
🌍 Standing on the literal Equator deep in the jungle at night...
🐍 ...Only to realize we were feet away from one of the deadliest Killer Snakes in South America, the Fer-de-Lance!
