I read from Chapter 14 of Alasdair MacIntyre's "After Virtue" for a primer on virtue, values, ethics, and morality. This talk is situated within a larger discussion of the merits (if any) of a classical liberal democracy dependent on rampant capitalism and consumerism. If we are to offer critiques of such a system, namely our own, they should have a foundation and the ability to be grounded in justification. We begin that here, and will continue in the future.
