Questo brano potrebbe essere presentato in due modi completamente differenti. Si potrebbe dire che è basato, sia per quanto riguarda il materiale, sia per la forma, su una ballata di Guillaume de Machaut da cui prende anche il titolo (seppure modificato). Oppure si potrebbe dire che dietro a "Et plaindre et loer" c'è l'immagine di una radio antica che si accende, comincia a trasmettere, la trasmissione viene disturbata dal rumore, ritorna il segnale ma il brano è ormai compromesso ed infine le interferenze hanno la meglio. In entrambe le spiegazioni appare chiaro come il fondamento alla base sia il rapporto, instabile e conflittuale, tra memoria ed erosione, tra lo scorrere lineare del tempo ed immobilità.

This short piece could be presented in two completely different ways. It could be said that it is based, both in terms of material and form, on a ballad by Guillaume de Machaut from which it also takes its title - albeit modified. We could also say that behind "Et plaindre et loer" there is the image of an ancient radio that turns on by itself, starts transmitting, the transmission is disturbed by noise, the signal returns but the music is now degraded and then the interference prevails. In both cases it is clear that the underlying concept is the relationship - both unstable and conflictual - between memory and erosion, between the linear flow of time and immobility.
