Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor was performed at the First Night of the 2004 Proms in two parts: the Toccata was played on the Royal Albert Hall organ by Martin Neary, while the Fugue was given in Sir Henry Wood's orchestration. The BBCSO was conducted by its then Chief Conductor, Leonard Slatkin.
Incidentally, Bach's Toccata and Fugue was also orchestrated by Leopold Stokowski and for comparison, you'll find another Proms performance here of his arrangement, conducted by Andrew Davis ...
