Here is my video log on building a dot-matrix clock, which is automatically synchronized with NTP server over WiFi and displayed on Max7219. It is based on Raspberry Pi Pico W and the coding was done in MicroPython in Thonny IDE.
This was relatively a beginner-friendly project with MicroPython, but sophisticated control over display, text or font were not easy for me as a novice. Also, this has to be made from an original Pico W from Raspberry Pi, and no other 3rd-party modules with no WiFi capability could be used.
This was my first attempt in trying to build dot-matrix clocks that uses different microcontrollers and coding languages. More videos will come in the future, using ESP8266s and ESP32s.
