What is the Difference Between ESTE and ISTO in Brazilian Portuguese?

Pronouns in Brazilian Portuguese - Do you know when to use 'este' and 'isto' in Portuguese, since both pronouns are equivalent to 'this' in English? What is the difference between them? And how about 'esse' and 'isso', 'aquele' and 'aquilo'? I have seen some students mixing them up. In the second part of the lesson, you will learn how to use 'isto', 'isso', and 'aquilo', and also compare these neutral demonstrative pronouns to the ones presented in the first half of the lesson. You will finally learn the difference between 'este' versus 'isto' in Portuguese.
