How To Battle Professor Oak in Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow VC

An unused fight vs Professor Oak where he has the following Pokemon:
Tauros lv66
Exeggutor lv67
Arcanine lv68
3rd starter lv69
Gyarados lv70

The glitch I refer to at the beginning of the video is a modified version of this:

If you're watching on mobile, I'll try and explain it briefly.

Things you will need:
**Required** The Gambler on Route 8 facing the Underground Path between Lavender and Saffron needs to be unfought; him or the Youngster to the LEFT of Nugget Bridge will work. To my knowledge no other trainers work with this.
**Required** A Pokemon with a Special stat of 226. I used Gengar so my next Pokemon has type immunity to a lot of his moves. This Pokemon will be known as 226SP.
**Required** A Pokemon that has an Attack reducing move that is capable of fighting 226SP, so for all intents and purposes I just brought Persian with Growl.
[[[Optional]]] A low level Pokemon with Fly to black out intentionally to repeat the process as many times as you want; if you don't care about the trainer just beat the trainer instead.

Step 1: After healing your intended party, stand directly in front of the Underground Path door.
Step 2: (Save now if you want!) Otherwise, walk down one square while pressing X or Start, I had better success by holding the button instead of pressing it since hardware has changed. If the trainer walks towards you without the menu popping up, soft reset.
Step 3: Once you get the menu to pop up before the (!), Fly to any route that has a trainer you want to beat/black out against to have the glitch start referring to the game's index afterwards.
Step 4: Fight/lose to the trainer, your buttons will free up afterwards.
Step 5: Fly to Fuschia City and head to Route 13 with 226SP and your Growler. If you need to access your PC to get them, you can do that beforehand without messing anything up.
Step 6: Once you have found a Ditto, switch 226SP in and have Ditto Transform into it. 226SP is gonna be kinda hard to beat, so if you don't have type advantage like I do in the video then your Growler needs to be a pretty high level to live long enough to get the required number of Growls off.
Step 7: Growl the Ditto as many times as it takes to match up to the type of team you want Oak to fight you with:
4 times: Blastoise Team (if you chose Bulbasaur)
5 times: Venusaur Team (if you chose Charmander)
6 times: Charizard Team (if you chose Squirtle)
It's worth mentioning that it was intended for Oak to have the starter that you and Gary didn't take, so using that logic your starter will have type advantage if you want to play the correct fight.
Step 8: Run away and Fly directly back to the city next to the trainer you used to activate the glitch (Cerulean if Nugget Bridge, Lavender if Route 8).
Step 9 (optional): Arrange your Pokemon if you want, but iirc you are not allowed to heal.
Step 10: Walk north through Nugget Bridge / west towards Route 8. The Start Menu will pop up automatically. Exit out of it, and the fight will begin!
Step 11: It is TOTALLY safe to save afterwards if you want to keep that exp and money; you will still have access to the Gambler and the trainer you chose (if you blacked out in steps 3-4).
