The Marvel Cinematic Universe has made some brilliant casting choices over the years -- starting, of course, with Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man -- but there are a few choices that left viewers scratching their heads.

It’s not always the actors’ faults, as many of them filled villainous roles in the MCU’s worst films, and Marvel has something of a reputation for underwritten villains, but there were clearly a few who just weren’t the right fit regardless.
