Aidon is using Wirepas Mesh RF technology in their Smart meters, which are deployed in Norway, Sweden and Finland all together more than 2 million units.
Devices communicate 870Mhz frequency, which non licensed band and allocated for utility business.
Smart meters are super easy to install compared to any other technology. Reliability of the communication is based on one single network, where each smart meter operates as a an active router to provide access point for the other meters to connect. The largest single network has over 700 000 devices and no network management required.
