Let’s make a pull-apart animal cake. Today I’m making a friendly owl cake. I glued down the cupcakes with a drop of frosting. I used sweetwater to be sure the cupcakes will remain fresh and moist. Sweetwater is the secret!
Using my handy icing spatula, I pulled out a feather design. Make sure to give a light touch to avoid smearing the cake crumb in the frosting. (I have an example of that with one of the first pulls- oops!)
I used an opposite pull on the secondary color of my owl.
