Built in 1840, Wingfield is a rare survivor from the pioneer era of railway development.
Following a Compulsory Purchase Order, ownership of the site was transferred from Amber Valley Borough Council to Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust (DHBT) on the 10th December 2019.
This film, created by Derbyshire film maker Gavin Repton, documents the various stages of the restoration: from the urgent works undertaken by ASBC Heritage & Conservation Specialists to the conservation work by Ackroyd Construction during 2022/23 and culminating with the grand launch on the 27th October 2023.
