Mir Mujeeb is a PhD student in International Relations and a prominent activist fighting for more share to General Category / Open Merit candidates in government jobs and scholarships in Jammu and Kashmir. According to him, the candidates of unreserved categories, who form 70% of the population, are currently getting not more than 30-35% share while the lion's share of 65-70% goes to the candidates of the Reserved Categories even as their total population is around 30% only.
