The One Where a Florida Girl + a Pittsburgh Guy Fall In love In Kentucky // Sara + Charlie

When one of your favorite wedding planners gets married + asks you to film her day...magic, y’all, that’s what happens. We have had the absolute pleasure of getting to know Sara over the past few years because she’s an essential part of the Shelly Fortune Events team. She is the kind of person you’re drawn to because her smile is CONTAGIOUS + literally lights up a room. So when she reached out to us just a few short weeks after her sweet fiancé, Charlie, proposed to her in downtown Lexington we were sold.

Every little thing about this day made our hearts so happy. The fact that they chose to get married in November for the vibrant fall colors and the feeling of coziness. How they chose Lexington, Kentucky as the location for their wedding since Sara grew up in Florida + Charlie in Pittsburgh and decided it was the perfect central location for all of their family + friends to travel from out of town to celebrate with them. They were married on a Friday so that they could have the rest of the weekend to celebrate with their people...if that doesn’t tell you the kind of hearts they have, I don’t know what does!

Their day at the Apiary was inviting, relaxing, STUNNING, and as cozy as it gets. The day started off in the cutest little hotel tucked into downtown Lexington. They promised their vows to one another in the most idyllic, white chapel surrounded by the most vibrant orange trees + pristine horse country. Their design team brought a vision to LIFE at the Apiary. The cozy autumn vibes were SO real + all of the stunning autumn toned florals were the icing on the cake.
