The officialy released version of "Can't C Me" from the album "All Eyez On Me" was recorded shortly after 2Pac joined Death Row Records. It was originally a Dogg Pound song called "Can't C Us", but 2Pac liked the instrumental. Death Row Records only focused on one album at a time - their next one - and every artist on the label would funnel their work towards that album. The classic "California Love" is another song that started as a Dr. Dre solo song, but since 2Pac liked it, it was funneled towards "All Eyez On Me".
"Can't C Me" and "California Love" are two of the very few 2Pac tracks that was officially produced by Dr. Dre. There is a rumoured song called "Blunt Tyme" that is supposedly produced by Dr. Dre, but no one has ever heard it and it's not clear whether it exists or not.
This "Dr. Dre Remix" uses an old beat Dr. Dre produced during his Death Row era and ended up never using. I've also incorporated some elements from the "Can't C Me" instrumental, namely the kick drum and the percussion.
