The Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves are a collection of ancient, partly natural and partly artificial caves located on two adjacent hills near Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Carved in the 2nd century BCE, they served as residential blocks for Jain monks and are significant historical and archaeological sites, with Udayagiri having 18 caves and Khandagiri having 15. The most famous cave is the double-storyed Rani Gumpha at Udayagir
