KR vlog: Seongsu shopping✧₊⁺ |Standoil👜 & Tamburins Flagship | eating mochi&salt bread🥐~Seoul Travel

Today I explore Seongsu-dong, it is a trendy neighborhood with a mix of industrial charm, hipster cafés, and cultural attractions.

We first have our brunch at Grandma's Recipe • 할머니의 레시피. Grandma's Recipe is a Korean restaurant that aims to recreate the taste of a mother's cooking. We ordered beef set and add on Soy-sauce marinated crabs. This restaurant is located at Seongdong-gu, Seongsu-dong 1(il)-ga, Seoulsup 2-gil, 44-12

Next we took the train ride to the next stop which is Seongsu. I always wanted to visit Seongsu as the Standoil and Tamburins stores are here. First stop we headed to Standoil Flagship store. There wasn't a queue and we can look at many bags that are on display. I have the post bag and I love it, however it is a shoulder bag that occasionally slips off the shoulder so I am looking for a crossbody bag that would be more hands-free/convenient. We left the store with 4 bags. There was also discount ongoing at the store, do check it out if you are heading there!

Next at Tamburins, the handcream and lip balms are all so aesthetically packaged. The building itself is unique as it is underground with pretty purple flowers around. There is a waiting line but it is well-organized and the waiting time wasn't too long. The price of their products is on the steep side but the aesthetic and smell is 10/10. We chose a hand-cream to use sparingly through this life time :D

We checked out the popular fresh fruit mochis at 한정선 (Hanjungsun 韓貞仙) and Jayeondo Salt Bread 자연도소금빵. Both are must-try when you are around Seongsu! The mochis are sweet and feels so healthy because there are fruits in them!


What’s at Olive Young? We also visited Olive Young Seongsu. Olive Young is a South Korean health and beauty company that sells cosmetics, personal care products, and more. It sells a variety of brands, including K-beauty brands and other brands.

A brand for young professionals, Hince/colorgram/FWEE/3CE/CLIO/Fillimilli.
Do check out Fillimilli if you are a fan of Single Inferno’s Youjin, she uses makeup brush from this brand.
There is a skin analysis center in the building at the 3rd floor. You will need to have a reservation, I recommend to go early to secure your slot without disappointment. Example if there is a break and they reopens at 3pm, you should go and queue before 230pm.
