Bringing a little 9 metre, new Viknes fast motorboat from the factory to the Netherlands, 1100 nautical miles... can it be done ? The answer is a resounding yes - this is a tough, strongly built fast fishing boat built for bad weather and as the Norwegian second generation builder states, "built for the north sea". In this episode the first miles, in a stunningly sunny and beautiful Norway. How I wish I had more time for this part of the trip .... This video may be boring for non-boaters - it's aimed to share what powerboating involves, how the boat behaves. Having sailed most of my life on "slow" sailboats and in particular catamarans, and being new to motor boats, I am giving an impression of what it's like to have an engine, no sails but speedand a very comfortable wheelhouse.
