Painting The New Frog Mask

He's fun, he's strange - OK, maybe he's even a little weird. But I had so much fun designing this frog mask! I always get very nervous when it's time to paint one of my paper mache masks, but this one was pretty easy. I cheated and used a stencil brush to make the green look more froggy. 😊

🐸 I used an Australian Red-Eyed Tree Frog as the model for my frog mask. It was not easy to pick a frog species to use, because there are so many! And they're all beautiful - even the brown frogs that live in my yard are lovely, if you get up close enough to see the amazing patterns on their skin. But I wanted one with very dramatic colors, and eyes that would really stand out.
I can't wait to see how other people paint their frog masks. 😊
