“Love at first sight” is a controversial topic among researchers of intimate relationships, and is usually explained as an intense initial attraction and infatuation. However, the retrocausal explanation is that “love at first sight” occurs when people remember a shared future with the other individual. Retrocausality is the study of how the future influences the present and the past, and rejects a unidirectional model of causality (where it is the past that determines the present and future). The common experiences of people who experience “love at first sight” are discussed (with examples) in order to explain why it is, properly understood, a retrocausal phenomenon.
I'm Dr. Mark Hatala and I'm a cognitive scientist who studies time travel and retrocausality.
This video is a discussion of theories explaining “love at first sight” and why it is a retrocausal phenomenon.
