The 2025 Megavalanche heat 2 qualification round above Alpe d'Huez. Around 1200 riders enter this event so there's a Quali day on Friday to sort the grid for the A and B finals in the next two days that follow. With 10 heats in total, the stakes are high to try to get through and ideally with a good start position for the main event on Sunday morning. Riders therefore furiously battle their way down the mountain to do the best they can. The top 3 from each heat get front row pick so the pressure is on...
(At the Mountain of Hell, qualification is done on time but not here... At the Megavalanche, qualification is done on position and then time for each position to create the order in which riders will line up on the grid for the final).
