I made this video to show support for the BYU Pep Bands. Recently, the BYU Athletic Department attempted to remove the Pep Bands from basketball games and interfere with university classes. However, after more than 5,000 people signed a petition within two days, they agreed to meet with band personnel to discuss the issue. With the coordination of an attorney, they ultimately decided to restore the Pep Bands' original performance schedule.
Unfortunately, some of the decisions made by a few individuals in the BYU Athletic Department reflect self-interest and do not align with BYU's values. These actions have led to public concern and disappointment. I sincerely hope that both school and church leaders will acknowledge these issues and work toward meaningful solutions.
