The story on how I got this clip is interesting.
When I was on Facebook I set up some television groups and I met and befriended a guy by the name of Swami Neelamber.
He was formerly known as John Henry and he worked at the NZBC between 1963 and 1973.
Two years later he was bought in to help on this particular opening and he even owned the prop at the end of the clip.
The prop was a box with the "2" logo cut into it and covered in the middle by red cellophane and a light shone underneath with a camera rig above it.
The box was placed on a turntable or possibly a potters wheel and semi rotated.
Sadly, in 2016, Swami passed away but I will always remember how I received this clip from him and of the story behind it.
