India New Delhi “Tibetan SOS Youth Hostel”. It is associated with TCV (Tibetan Children Village), provides accommodation primarily for Tibetan & Himalayan Youths students studying in India Delhi. Hostel charges Minimum fees to the students from India & Nepal too. There are 300 students. 90 Tibetans, 210 Nepal & India Himalayan students too.

The hostel was built on a 2 acres of land purchase from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on perpetual lease and funded by the SOS Kinderdorf International. It was inaugurated and blessed by His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama on March 16th, 1991, in the presence of Mr. Helmut Kutin, Mr. Rabi Ray, honorable Lok Sabha Speaker and other dignatiries. It has 10 regular staffs.

Whenever His Holiness visits Delhi, he graciously resides at the Top Apartments hostel. On each such occasion, he is respectfully welcomed by Tibetan student couples representing the 3 provinces of Tibet, attired in full Tibetan traditional dresses with High copied jewelry too.

At present, these traditional garments have become old, faded due to long and continued use. We therefore see this as a timely and meaningful opportunity to renew this important tradition. Our proposal is to provide Brand -new Tibetan Tibet 3 provinces Dhoetay, Dhoemay & Ustang full traditional attire of the highest quality fabric, complemented by well-crafted, high copied jewelry sets, for the students who perform this honorable Welcoming duty.

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve our community with dignity and excellence. Through this initiative, we aim to uphold the beauty and pride of Tibetan cultural heritage while humbly seeking the blessings of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
