This video provides instruction on how to replace an ECT sensor on a Chevy & GMC 2.4 liter Ecotec engine. In this video, I replace the engine coolant temperature sensor on a 2016 Chevy Equinox. Symptoms that a vehicle may have a bad ECT sensor include.
The radiator fan runs on high all the time.
The radiator fan continues to run, even after the vehicle has been shut off and the engine is not running.
The engine temperature gauge doesn't register a temperature and stays on C.
The air conditioning unit is disabled.
