Video 1 OpenTX Taranis Q X7 Sounds And Announcements Introduction (How & When)
Welcome to another video from RCdiy.ca
This video is part of a series of videos and a playlist related to Sounds and Announcements in OpenTX 2.2 .
This video is also accompanied by separate detailed documentation. Please read the documentation for details on what I will be showing you in this video.
There are two location for this documentation. One copy is on the RCdiy.ca website and another has been contributed to the official OpenTX manual on GitBooks.
Links to the documentation will be placed in the description below this video on YouTube.
Further, this topic will be divided into a number of videos to keep them quick, to the point and hopefully current. These videos will be organized into a playlist which will be linked to in the description below.
In this video we will look at How & When Sounds And Announcements Are Made
OpenTX has two forms of audio.
The first is by generating Tones & Beeps of different frequencies and durations such as when the trim is changed.
The second is by playing Audio Files from a microSD card such as the trim center announcement.
Sounds and Announcements take place in response events which can be categorized into Model independent and dependent events.
Model Independent Events sounds and announcements are triggered regardless of the model profile currently is use such as the announcement when the transmitter is turned on or the transmitter battery is low.
Model Dependent Event sounds and announcements are triggered depending on the model profile currently is use such as the failsafe not set warning.
This brings us to the end of this video which is meant to be a brief overview. Please follows the links below to the blog post for details and watch the other videos in this playlist.
