2016年12月、吉野熊野国立公園の父・岸田日出男（1890-1959年）が暮らした奈良県吉野郡大淀町北六田の自宅から、多くの歴史資料とともに、古びたフィルム4巻が発見されました。そのフィルムに遺されていたのは、今からおおよそ100年前にさかのぼる吉野・熊野の原風景でした。最古のものは、大正11年（1922年）8月に撮影された、大峯奥駈道や大台ケ原の映像であることが判明しました。現在のところ、奈良県内を撮影した最古の映像です。大淀町ではこれらのフィルムを保存・活用するプロジェクトを実施しています。
In December 2016, four old film reels were discovered at the home of Hideo Kishida (1890-1959), the father of Yoshino-Kumano National Park, in Kitamuda, Oyodo Town, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture, where he once lived, along with many historical materials. The films captured the original landscapes of Yoshino and Kumano from approximately 100 years ago. It was revealed that the oldest footage was shot in August of 1922 (Taisho 11) and featured scenes of the Omine Okugake Trail and Odaigahara. Currently, this is the oldest footage filmed within Nara Prefecture. Oyodo Town is carrying out a project to preserve and utilize these films.
