This Trek hardtail hasn't seen a service in 5 or 6 years, and it shows! It arrived at the shop with the brakes pulling to the bar, the fork lockout dead, and the gears barely shifting. I give the bike a major service to get it back on the trails.
The teardown revealed a few surprises, including a set of high-end Hope wheels on a neglected frame, a stripped crank arm thread, and a mismatched 10-speed/12-speed drivetrain.
