Between 2002 and 2003, KraiSoft released the space-themed side-scrolling shoot-em-up game called Astrobatics, which featured music originally composed by Vakhtang Adamiya. The music was originally composed in a MIDI file format, but the game was only released for Windows computers and could only theoretically support computers powered by all operating systems between Windows 98 and Windows 7 due to it being a 32-bit application. Support for 32-bit applications was later discontinued, hence why the game can no longer be played on most computers running modern Windows.
Back in 2022, the soundtrack to the game was reorchestrated into a symphonic rock-style format. Fast forward a few years and after I did the covers for the soundtracks to Alien Sky and After the End, I decided to recompose the covers for Astrobatics itself so that they contained more similarities to the original MIDI files. As part of the recomposition of the covers, two music tracks were converted back to their original key of A minor, and one of them was renamed.
The soundtrack is comprised as follows:
0:00 - Interface
0:54 - Deadly Clutches (levels 1, 11, and 15)
3:28 - Heavy Barriers (levels 2, 4, 9, and 10)
7:22 - Stone Shower (levels 3 and 7)
9:08 - Breaking Off (levels 8 and 14)
14:44 - Under Heavy Fire (levels 6 and 13)
17:21 - Extreme Heat (levels 5 and 12)
19:48 - Credits
Additional information about the original composers for the tracks, including copyright details, is located in the credits.
