The D Day Story Portsmouth Museum

Out of over 800 tank carrying landing craft sent to Normandy only one survives and this one was almost lost after sinking at Birkenhead Liverpool after being converted to a night club. Today it is the centre piece of the D Day story museum in Portsmouth. Inside the main building are display cases containing many items and information about them both written and in audio via headphones.
