Matty Acton : Healthy turf gives people a sense of it's a really nice house.

Shane : Matty.
Matty Acton : Hello Mate.
Shane : Good to see you again.
Matty Acton : Hey, how're you going?
Shane : Let's talk about your yard
Matty Acton : Or lack there of.
Shane : Lack there of, it's looking great.
Matty Acton : Give me the tour show me around.

Matty Acton : We've got a unique...front yard here. Really in the fact that it's got quite a large slope down here.
Shane : Yes.
Matty Acton : Bobcats going in. Arborist cutting down trees. All sorts of stuff, so. There's a real tradie track going.
Shane : Definitely.
Matty Acton : Down the hill we need to sort out.
Shane : Lets go see the back yard.
Matty Acton : Alright.

Shane : Alright Matty, there's three important things we think about when thinking what's the right grass for a yard. Shade, wear and maintenance. The recommendation we would make. Would be Sir Grange Zoysia. Covering off those three factors. So Grange, needs as little as two to three hours of sun a day. So around these problem areas would still be fantastic. It still handles the full sun, which means out in the footpath and in the middle here. It'll still handle that beautifully. But it will really thrive in those shaded areas.
Matty Acton : Yeah wow. I'm seeing in here to a golf course.
Shane : Yes, it's. It's used a lot on golf courses which is why it's also good for wear. And the most
important thing I think for you. You're gonna love this.
Matty Acton : Mmm-hmm
Shane : Less mowing.
Matty Acton : Brilliant.

Matty Acton : I think, I am heading at the moment towards the golf course. The backyard golf course.
Shane : Definitely
Matty Acton : And maybe even charging entry to people to come in. You know?
Shane : Membership fees get them weekly.
Matty Acton : That's right weekly fees get a little course going out here.

Shane : Matty, it's looking fantastic. You've done a great job watering it in clearly. I love how healthy it's looking. How has it been?
Matty Acton : It's actually been really really great. Obviously a lot of water at the start. To get it going. But after a few weeks it embedded in really really well. And I haven't. Like the water maintenance hasn't really been that much of an issue. I can show you the most common thing people do when they come over now and they see this. Is they see this if they take their shoes off. And they do this. People walk around the backyard like this now.
Shane : Just to feel it.
Matty Acton : Is it even real? Is it real?

Matty Acton : The kids really love it. The two boys get into nerf wars. One stands up here and shoots the other one. While the other one runs back across the grass.

Matty Acton : We're going away on a holiday and most people get people in to sit their pets. I'm getting someone to come and check on my lawn while we're away.
(Both laugh)

Shane : So Matty we got here. We've got it established it's looking fantastic. What was easy? What was hard?
Matty Acton : I would say...the easiest part would be the watering. I mean we had a system set up. I just got some timers...
Shane : Yes.
Matty Acton : from Bunnings and had it all set up. So it would come on at the same time every morning.
Shane : Yes.
Matty Acton : Because I get up very early in the morning. I set it to set at the same time I got up. So I could check it to for enough to work. And I found that pretty easy to keep it consistently watered. I didn't get many, any brown spots or anything like that. Which is good considering the hot weather. It's gonna. I can't really think of any down sides. What I will say is to. I'm so glad that you guys laid it.
(Both laugh)

Matty Acton : Because I had. I don't know, for some reason in my head I had it that I could lay it and it would be fine. And, when I realised how big the space actually is and how many guys you had doing it. I'm glad it would have taken me a week to get it down. I think that the turf would have died on the pallet before I got it all down and your guys did it in a couple of hours. That, I'm very thankful for.
