This then & now video tells a story about a ghost town in the heart of Alabama coal country. It is a town that was once booming with people living their lives. But as the need for coal diminished beginning in the 60's and 70's the commerce diminished as well. The jobs were gone and the people moved on.
On this Life In Bama we walk through what is left of the city of Old Dora. I cannot say that it is a forgotten town because anyone who lived there still calls it home. I will share some memories of this place and show photos of how the town once looked and a glimpse of the life there.
