The ghat road from Bannari to Dhimbam is famous for its 27 sharp hairpin bends, offering a thrilling drive.

The hills are part of the Sathyamangalam forest range, which is rich in biodiversity.

Wildlife includes elephants, gaurs, tigers, leopards, bears, and deer.

The forests are also home to tribes such as Soligas and Irulas, who depend on forest produce.
