See how to apply an Illustrator repeating pattern swatch to a real world object like a pillow. You will see how to make a shape, fill it with a pattern and then distort it to make it look realistic when applied to an object like a pillow. You will see how to make the pillow shape and how to clip your distorted pattern to fill it. You will also see how to edit the effect - which is also very important!

Using these techniques you can bend and deform patterns so they look realistically applied to irregular shapes.
