Zu sehen ist ein Zwei-Zug-Betrieb auf der 1886 als Dampftrambahn konzessierten Strecke nach Heiligendamm, welche in Bad Doberan u.a. mit der "barrierefrei" ausgebauten Station Goethestraße den Eindruck einer Straßenbahn macht. Da es sich - trotz Touristenbespaßung - besonders bei den ersten Fahrten des Tages unter der Woche um echten Nahverkehr handelt, kann man hier meiner Meinung nach tatsächlich von einer planmäßigen Dampfstraßenbahn sprechen. Natürlich handelt es sich offiziell um eine Kleinbahn, die heute bis in den Urlaubsort Kühlungsborn an der Ostseeküste verkehrt.

In spite of the tourist attraction, especially on the first trips of the day during the week, there is real local traffic, in my opinion you can actually speak of a scheduled steam tram here. Of course, it is officially a small train that today runs to the holiday resort of Kühlungsborn on the Baltic coast.
