The European MSM Internet Survey (EMIS) is a multi-country, multi-language, anonymous online survey for gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) and trans people. EMIS is a joint project of community, academic, and governmental partners across Europe, to inform sexual health interventions for MSM. In EMIS-2024, 46 countries and 35 languages were covered. Over 50,000 persons took part in the survey, including a record number of people who identify as trans.
For this webinar, we invited one of the EMIS Coordinators, Tamás Bereczky, to present the preliminary results of the survey, focusing on chemsex and mental health.

MPact Global Action for Gay Men’s Health and Rights was founded by an international group of activists who were concerned about the disproportionate HIV burden being shouldered by gay and bisexual men. Since then they expanded their work to focus on the broader sexual health and human rights needs of all men who have sex with men. MPact believes in the respect of everyone's decision to their own bodies, and that drug use should be addressed from a body autonomy perspective rather than stigmatizing it and criminalizing it. Axel Bautista, Community Mobilization Coordinator at MPact, joined us to talk about how this approach is implemented in MPact’s public campaigns related to sex, sexuality, community and stigma.
