How to reface kitchen cabinets? This is how I do it when using a factory finished 1/4" wood version of refacing. When it comes to refacing cabinets there are several different versions and or methods that can be used. Some people think refacing is paint or stain with new doors but it is much more than that. Most of my projects at Colorado Cabinet Refacing are either with 1/4" wood version or laminate/thermofoil options. Almost all my projects include several upgrades and modifications as well. Things like new dovetail drawers and slides, full overlay spacing conversions, soft close hinges and slides, full size base boars at toe kicks, new additional cabinets, glass doors, pull out trays, and more. My goal is to do nice high quality work with refacing. Why do a builder grade version when you could make a few additions and modifications to customize it along the way?
